Windows system audio to HomePod/HomePod mini over your local network.
ToneRelay lets a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC play its normal system audio through one HomePod or HomePod mini on the same Wi-Fi or wired local network.
What it is for
Use ToneRelay when your HomePod is the speaker you want to hear, but the sound is coming from a Windows PC. It sends the PC default audio output to the selected HomePod/HomePod mini for music, videos, calls, and normal desktop listening.
What you need
- A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC.
- One HomePod or HomePod mini connected to the same local network.
- ToneRelay installed on the PC.
- The audio app or browser playing through the normal Windows default output.
How it works
- Open ToneRelay on Windows.
- Choose the HomePod or HomePod mini shown in the app.
- Play audio normally on Windows.
- Leave ToneRelay running while you listen.
Trial
ToneRelay includes a 7-day local trial that starts after the first successful Playing state. After about 1 hour of actual playback, the app may remind you about Pro.
Good to know
- Works with one HomePod or one HomePod mini at a time.
- Uses the current Windows default output, not separate per-app routing.
- Best for everyday listening, not timing-critical gaming or live monitoring.
- Does not add Sonos, Chromecast, DLNA, Apple TV, multi-room, or stereo-pair support.
