ToneRelay Release Notes

Release notes summarize what changed in ToneRelay in plain language.

Current app focus

  • Play Windows default audio through one HomePod or HomePod mini.
  • Use a local network connection.
  • Start a local 7-day trial after the first successful playback.
  • Guide users through setup and common troubleshooting.

Known limits

  • Works with one HomePod or one HomePod mini at a time.
  • Uses the current Windows default output, not separate per-app routing.
  • Best for everyday listening, not timing-critical gaming or live monitoring.
  • Does not add Sonos, Chromecast, DLNA, Apple TV, multi-room, or stereo-pair support.
