Which option fits your needs?

For Windows default audio on HomePod or HomePod mini, try ToneRelay first. For per-app capture, multiple rooms or Apple TV, WinAirCast advertises a broader feature set; ToneRelay does not provide those features. Trial your actual devices before buying. This comparison does not establish that either app is faster or more stable in every setup.

Source checks and dates

On October 2, 2026, we checked ToneRelay 0.1.0 public features and its price contract. WinAirCast’s website described AirPlay 1/2, per-app and multi-room support, a 15-day Store trial and one-time purchase on that date. These are vendor statements, not measurements from this comparison. Check the Store for regional pricing.

Another attempt to retrieve TuneBlade’s FAQ on October 2, 2026 timed out. Official indexed material reviewed September 9 is historical reference; current price, maintenance commitments, Windows 11 and new-firmware compatibility were not confirmed. Sources for other tools retain their September 9 review; this is not a fresh verification of every product.

Setup and troubleshooting

Who publishes this comparison, and how can you verify it?

ToneRelay publishes this page and develops the ToneRelay app. This comparison helps you choose by device, connection direction and required features. It is not an independent review or a performance ranking.

Other products are described using the vendor sources linked on this page; a citation does not imply vendor endorsement. Source review dates can differ from this page’s update date, which does not mean every product was tested again today. Check the original sources and trial audible playback, reconnection and delay on your own equipment before buying.

Our October 15, 2026 check could not retrieve the TuneBlade home page or FAQ. This does not establish availability on other networks. Its current pricing, maintenance and new-firmware compatibility remain unconfirmed; distinguish historical references from verified current facts.

Try your own PC and HomePod before buying

If your devices and listening needs match the requirements above, start with the local trial. Check audible playback, reconnection and delay in your usual apps before deciding on Pro.

  • 7-day trial; no account required
  • HomePod or HomePod mini
