Tested with HomePod software version 27

ToneRelay has been tested with HomePod software version 27 for Windows 10/11 default-output playback to HomePod on the same local network. After an update, distinguish missing discovery, failed connections and no sound, then check networking, speaker access and audio output. Trial your own setup and verify other senders separately with the current firmware.

Would you like support for another device?

Support for more AirPlay speakers is coming soon. We still collect Sonos, Apple TV, WiiM and HomePod stereo-pair requests. Share the model, use case and hardware availability; model and configuration support depends on verification, not the request itself.

What is ToneRelay?

Can I use HomePod as a PC speaker on Windows?

Yes. ToneRelay sends the current Windows default output to HomePod or HomePod mini over the same local network. It does not make HomePod appear as a normal Bluetooth speaker.

Can ToneRelay play Spotify, YouTube, and browser audio?

Yes. If Spotify, YouTube, a browser, media player, or another desktop app is using the current Windows default output, ToneRelay can use that system audio as its source.

Does ToneRelay work with HomePod mini?

Yes. ToneRelay supports HomePod or HomePod mini. Stereo pairs, multi-room playback, and multiple active speakers are not supported.

Does ToneRelay need the same local network?

Yes. The Windows PC and HomePod/HomePod mini must be reachable on the same local network. Guest Wi-Fi, VPN routing, or client isolation can prevent discovery.

Is ToneRelay free?

ToneRelay includes a 7-day local trial. The trial does not require an account, subscription, or cloud sync.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

Playback requires a Pro license after the trial ends. You can buy Pro once and paste the License Key into ToneRelay to continue using the same supported product scope.

Is ToneRelay a one-time purchase?

Yes. ToneRelay Pro is USD $14.99 as a one-time permanent license with no subscription. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Will the License Key be emailed automatically?

No. After verified payment, the License Key is shown on the purchase success page. Copy it immediately and store it securely; automatic email delivery is not available.

Does ToneRelay support multiple speakers?

No. The current release supports HomePod or HomePod mini playback. It does not support stereo-pair or multi-room synchronization.

Is ToneRelay signed?

No. The current Windows installer is unsigned and not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen or security software may show a warning.

Is ToneRelay affiliated with Apple?

No. ToneRelay is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Apple. Apple product names are used only to describe compatibility.

Is ToneRelay affiliated with TuneBlade?

No. ToneRelay is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TuneBlade. The name is used only for factual comparison context.

Does ToneRelay collect audio?

How do I update ToneRelay?

Download the latest installer from the ToneRelay website, quit the running app, and install the new version over the current one. Automatic updates are not currently available.

Does ToneRelay support HomePod software version 27?
